Rhythm Around the World: The 4-Week Immersive with Drum Temple & Tribal Galaxy

You’ve been ASKING, and it’s finally here—an in-person, immersive learning container with Katie of Drum Temple and Ali Kartalsuna of Tribal Galaxy.

And this time, we will be learning rhythms from all around the WORLD.

Introducing “Rhythm Around the World,” a 4-week series by Drum Temple and Tribal Galaxy where we will learn rhythms inspired by cultures from the Middle East (darbuka), West Africa (djembe), South America (bomboleguero), and Central America (conga)—

—all adapted for the West African djembe drum.

*Each week will begin with silent tea ceremony to drop us deeply into our bodies.

*We will continue with an intuitive ceremonial drum activation to move energy, clear emotions, and reconnect with our primal essence.

*We will then learn a core rhythm and 1-3 of its variations/up-levels that you can grow with for the duration of your drumming career.

This course will employ the best facets of feminine and masculine learning styles to help you truly come to your rhythmic remembrance.

No-matter your level, this course will give you building blocks (of West African djembe and cultural rhythms) all the way to advanced variations.

Each week you will be sent home with a notated outline and videos of the rhythms we learn.

Katie’s teaching style employs intuition, deep trust, and technical learning to welcome you into an experience that helps you tap into your subconscious for optimal comprehension and retention.

Ali's teaching style uses silence, deep focus, and subtle understanding to open you to rhythmic remembrance.
