Tea & Djembe 4-Week Meditation & Learning Series 2

November 4, 11, 18, 23 from 7:30-9:30pm in Miami, Florida

Rhythm is not optional -- it is a part of our fully-expressed spirit, and one that we get to reclaim after thousands of years of laying it down. For anyone on a spiritual path, this is part of it. It's time for Drum Temple's favorited 4-week series, this time in collaboration with Susan the Sage.

Traditional tea ceremony & meditation are powerful gateways that can open us to inspired, intuitive, connected learning.

Opening tea & meditation will be guided by Susan.

Katie of Drum Temple will instruct on the West African djembe, sharing about intuitive drumming, activating the heart & ancestral spirit, & how to play with proper technique.

She will guide you to inner rhythm through vocal entrainment, somatic drop-ins, & technical training. We will review traditional West African rhythms, rhythms to accompany medicine music, & rhythms from other parts of the world adapted for the djembe.

In this series you will:

• Tap into inner peace

• Gain confidence in your intuition

• Return to the rhythm within

• Train your body and heart to drum

• Reconnect with the aliveness of community drumming in an intimate space

You will walk away with:

• At least 2 new rhythms per week

• Traditional tea practice basics

• Vocal activation exercises

• Djembe warm-ups & exercises

• A new community of intuitive drummers

Our Space

We have the pleasure and privilege of holding this container in The Sageuary, a beautiful sanctuary in North Bay Village cultivated by Susan.

Expect to experience renewal of self through rhythm, remembrance, and community.

But also have no expectations at all :)
